William Moore

My great-grandparents Matilda and William established the company in 1906.  The '& Son' was added in the early 1930s and we became a limited company in 1948.  We are still run as a family business over 100 years later.

The wallpapers featured date from the 1950s through to the 1980s and are loosely organised into the following books:

Book One:  Floral
Book Two:  Geometric
Book Three: Wood, Brick, Natural finishes
Book Four:  1980s
Book Five: 1950s - Sanderson - Kitchen - Illustration

Our vintage wallpaper has proven popular with the visual media industries and has appeared in many films, television programmes and theatre productions as well as featuring in magazine shoots for major glossies and Sunday supplements.

The Independent gave us an amusing review a while back and the BBC used one of our wallpapers to create a 1970s den on Changing Rooms - but don't let that put you off!

Product details

Some of our 1950s wallpaper is untrimmed.  This means there is a border along its length which must be trimmed before hanging.  Due to its age it is extremely delicate and will require specialist handling.

Stocks are limited so updates will be frequent.  The wallpapers are 10m (33 foot) long and 0.52m (21 inches) wide.  Generally you get three drops to a roll.  Please give the dimensions of the area you are decorating with any enquiries.

Delivery charges

Mainland UK postage and packing starts at £6.70 for orders up to 1kg and £15.00 for orders between 1kg and 10kg.  UK delivery is free for all orders of 10 rolls or more. We also deliver worldwide.

I hope you enjoy the books as much as our personal visitors!

Kind regards

Jeremy Moore
